I was day dreaming today while in the shower and came up with a concept for a 'monster race' if you will. (I havent decided on a name yet, but please bare with me) I will also say that these creatures dont only have Ram skulls for heads, it can be ANY animal, I just chose a Ram skull cos I know what it looks like ;

These creatures are completely epheral save for the bone that you can see. They are dark un-nartural spirits, and no-one knows who created them, or to whom they serve. Relentless and unforgiving they only have passion for their own kind and for the old ways, and hate all forms of humanity.

Many stories have been told about these creatures, but the most popular ones are that they are gaurdians of sacred and natural places, protectors of the forgotten magics and nature. Mothers tell tales to their young ones of how these creatures would kidnap misbehaving children and tranform them into one of them, while travellers and villagers whisper of how comrades have strayed from the path and never returned.

These creatures, as said before, are epheral, supernatural spirits, animal skulls serving as a head. Travellers and citizens warn that if you are ever travelling and come apon a mass of animal skulls and ribs, and only these bones, quickly places gifts of food or drink at the base of the skulls, or drape jewelry you have, or if you have none makes some out of twine and whatever you have to hand, about their skulls and it will protect you from harm...sad truth is that it doesnt really make a differance.
